The Challenge
Most establishments still run daily life on queues and paper. Access to phones, services and family contact depends on time out of cell, staff availability and physical infrastructure. Every request becomes a manual task for officers.
HMP Parc, a G4S prison, wanted a different model: safe digital access to services from every cell, on devices secure enough for a custodial environment.
What We Did
In June 2025 Made Purple deployed in-cell tablets across HMP Parc. Every device is secured and managed by Purple MDM, which locks each tablet down to an approved set of services and keeps the whole fleet updated, monitored and controlled centrally.
Through the tablets residents stay in touch with family using Purple Post secure messaging, BT text messages and the BT PIN Phone system, while theHub provides content. In 2026 Purple Post digital launched at Parc, the first technology to let families share GIFs, emojis and multiple images digitally.
Officers at Parc also run keywork sessions with Purple Scribe, our AI-driven transcription and summarisation platform, which drafts session write-ups for officer review.
